How do i modify my SSID Network name & Wi-Fi password?

The modems and routers must be configured correctly, we are talking about the password that is always the same by factory default according to the model, for that it is necessary to modify it so that it is not compromised, it’s important to know how to do it.

PC or laptop

  1. Open the IP: “http://192.168.2.1/” in your browser.
  2. Use “admin” for Username and Password.
  3. Click “Wifi” on left menu.
  4. In “WPA” field enter your new wi-fi key.
  5. Finish with “Apply Changes”.

Android tablet

  1. Go to the URL: “http://192.168.2.1/” in adress bar.
  2. Type “admin” in Username and “admin” in Password box.
  3. Tap “Installation” button.
  4. Here in “Installation of Wireless Network” section touch “Manual control” Then “Safety Mode”.
  5. Below “WPA/WPA2” section select both
  6. In “Network Key” supply a new wireless passcode.
  7. Save changes.

Android smartphone or mobile

  1. In “Wifi settings” choose the connection and tap until extra menu appears.
  2. Press “Configuration” or “Change a Configuration”.
  3. Modify the Wi-Fi key.
  4. Now “Save”.

4G LTE / SWIFT 4G

  1. Launch “homerouter.cpe” or “http://192.168.1.1/” or “http://192.168.8.1/”, any of these addresses that work for you.
  2. Clic “Settings”.
  3. Set “user” for User name and Password or “admin” for both and click “Log In”.
  4. Touch “Settings” then “Wi-Fi” and “Wi-Fi Basic Settings”.
  5. In “SSID” you can change your wifi name.
  6. Fill a “password” for your wifi.
  7. Save settings.

CPE E5172

  1. Open “http://192.168.1.1/” in chrome or firefox.
  2. Use “admin” as Username and Password.
  3. Tap “WiFi” and “WiFi Settings”.
  4. Enter a network name “SSID” and wi-fi “Password” if you want.
  5. Save changes.

CPE Tozed P21 – XXX WiFi/Routers

  1. Go to the IP address: “http://192.168.8.1/.”
  2. Supply “admin” for Username and Password field.
  3. Choose “Device Settings” and “WLAN Settings”.
  4. Add a new wireless name “SSID” and wifi passcode.
  5. Save settings.

CPE B310 WiFi/Routers

  1. Launch the URL: “http://192.168.8.1/” favorite browser.
  2. Enter “admin” in Username and “admin” in Password box.
  3. Click “Setting” then “WLAN” and “WLAN basic Settings”
  4. Here in SSID you can modify your Wi-fi network name and your wireless key too.
  5. Save changes.

MiFi E5573 – XXX

  1. Open “http://192.168.8.1/” in your address bar.
  2. Fill Username and Password field with “admin”.
  3. Clic “Settings” then “WLAN” and “WLAN basic Settings”.
  4. Supply a network name and wifi passcode.
  5. Save settings.

MiFi Freedom M022T

  1. Go to the IP: “http://192.168.8.1/”.
  2. In Username type “admin” and in Password “admin”.
  3. Press “Wireless” and “Wireless Security Settings”.
  4. Add a new (SSID) wireless name and wi-fi key.
  5. Save changes.

MiFi Pebble 5800

  1. Launch the web: “http://192.168.8.1/”.
  2. Use “admin” in Username and Password field.
  3. Touch “Settings” then “WiFi”.
  4. Modify your wi-fi name (SSID) and your wireless passcode.
  5. Save settings.
